Taxi Ride

On Sunday, we tried going to the Mormon church in Beijing, but I was wildly optimistic and did not have adequate instructions. I took the address off the church website, but apparently the church was nowhere near the subway stop they suggested. Eventually, we took a cab and after much driving, the taxi driver got us on the road I had written down--Xibahe South Road--but the concept of a numbered building eluded him. I did not want to be abandoned in the middle of who-knows-where, so I had him take me back to where we started. I think he was afraid I wasn't going to pay him, but he was paid 32 yuan for taking me across the street.
